Whitecaps

This variety is the latest mutation to occur, around about 2010.

A beautiful bird that has caught the attention of many breeders and become very popular. They were originally called “Seafoam” due to the washed through body colour on the Sky blue variety.

Being a Dominant variety means that if you pair it to a Normal blue or Grey, 50% of the chicks will be Whitecap, in theory. (The percentages are averaged over 100 pairings).

If you breed Whitecap to Whitecap you get some some Single Factor , some Double Factor Whitecaps & some normal’s. These Double Factor birds are sometimes referred to as “Whitecap Greens”.
